Although the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge were received relatively well by critics and consumers, the meager battery in both devices left some scratching their heads trying to understand Samsung"s decision. While Samsung won"t be upgrading the battery in the existing S6 and S6 edge, it looks like Samsung could be working on a new "edge" revision that will offer a larger screen and a larger battery.
According to SamMobile, Samsung is working on a new iteration of it"s Galaxy S6 edge. According to their sources, the upcoming smartphone dubbed internally as "Project Zero 2", will feature the same styling as the S6 edge but will come in a slightly larger package. The unnamed device will measure in at 151mm by 73mm, which is a tad wider and a bit taller than the current S6 edge that measures in at 142mm by 70mm. The new device will reportedly also house a larger battery than the current model, adding nearly 500mAh, coming in at 3000mAh.
SamMobile anticipates that the new device will launch sometime in the next couple of weeks. As with previous revisions, it is highly unlikely that the United States will see an official release.
