Today, Samsung announced that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on August 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Invitations were sent out to the press without any additional details. The press release, however, promised that the firm will "unveil new devices designed to take the Galaxy ecosystem’s connectivity to the next level."
While Samsung didn"t explicitly say so, the headlining device announcement will be the Galaxy Note10. The Note always gets announced at the Unpacked event that happens later in the year, and the image with the S Pen kind of gives it away. There will likely be some other devices announced.
Perhaps we"ll finally get a release date for the Galaxy Home, which was last said to be coming in April but still hasn"t shown up. It"s also possible that the company might provide an update on the ill-fated Galaxy Fold. And of course, other devices like wearables might show up.
The Galaxy Note10 will likely use Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 855 chipset, at least for the ones that get released in the U.S. The rumors for the Note10 have been pretty diverse, and it"s possible that Samsung could even remove all physical buttons. It might come in two sizes for the first time, and there could be a 5G variant like with the Galaxy S10.
