Samsung sends out invites to reveal its next flagship on August 9

Samsung has sent out invites to the press for an event it will be hosting on August 9 in New York City to unveil a new device in the “premium Galaxy family.”

Although the company doesn’t name a device in its invitation, the tease of a stylus and the timing suggests that we are quite certainly going to see the reveal of its next flagship device – the Galaxy Note9.

The Samsung Galaxy Note9 has been a topic of several rumors over the past few months. The device may come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, quite a lot of memory and storage, and might even act as a launchpad for Samsung’s Bixby 2.0 assistant.

It will be interesting to see what Samsung has to offer with its upcoming flagship, but the invitation hints at a new yellow color, so that’s something new at the least.
