Samsung shows off two new Windows 8.1 PCs at CES 2014

A lot of people forget that Samsung makes Windows PCs in addition to all of their Android Galaxy products. Today, as part of their many CES 2014 announcements, the company revealed two Windows 8.1 products, including a new version of its ATIV Book 9 notebook.

Samsung"s press release says that the 2014 edition of the ATIV Book 9 will have a 15.6 inch 1920x1080 screen that the company claims is 20 percent brighter than the previous version. The four pound notebook comes with either an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and storage up to 1028GB in an SSD. Samsung says it will have up to 14 hours of battery life. The company did not reveal a price or a release date for the notebook.

The other new Windows 8.1 PC from Samsung is the ATIV One7, which has a 24-inch display with a 1920x1080 resolution that can come in regular or touchscreen versions. It can come with either an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and up to 1TB of hard drive storage. The PC will be released in Korea in February for the non-touchscreen version and in April for the touchscreen edition. No pricing was announced nor was there any word on when it might be released to other parts of the world.
