Samsung shows the Galaxy S8 'breaking out' in new ad

After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung"s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ were finally launched towards the end of last month. As we head into April, the competition will be fierce between rivals LG and Samsung - both of which will release their handsets to an eager market. In order to raise further awareness of the Galaxy S8, the firm has released its first commercial for the device.

The commercial showcases the phone "breaking out", which is intent on showing how past and even some current phones offer thicker bezels, while the new Galaxy S8 does not. The one-minute clip breaks the borders of the handset to reveal the near bezel-less Galaxy S8 with "Infinity Display" in all its glory.

While the display will be an important focal piece, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will also offer the DeX Station, that will allow the handset to expand into a desktop experience, along with the firm"s new digital assistant, Bixby. The Galaxy S8 and S8+ will arrive at retailers and carriers starting in mid-April.
