Samsung is set to take the virtual stage at its third Unpacked event for the second half this year. The event, dubbed ‘Unpacked for Every Fan’, is where the company is expected to unveil the heavily leaked Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) handset. The device is said to offer premium features at a relatively affordable price.
Multiple rumors and leaks – including slip-ups from the company itself – have provided a hint at the features of the upcoming phone, including the possible colors that it could be offered in. Today, Samsung posted an official trailer for the upcoming event. The video focuses heavily on colors, with a few frames showing off a palette of colors, possibly teasing the various color options that the phone is expected to come in.
The Galaxy S20 Fan Edition is expected to sport a Snapdragon 865 processor when sold in its 5G flavor, with the 4G version being equipped with an Exynos 990 chip. The device is rumored to house three cameras at the back, with two 12MP units doing the duty for the main and wide-angle cameras, accompanied by a third 8MP sensor for telephoto capabilities. The phone is said to retain the 120Hz screen refresh rate from the S20 series for its 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display.
Supposed prices for some European models leaked recently, hinting at an asking price of anywhere between $800 to $950. However, with the event just a couple of days away, the wait should not be very long till all is known about the firm upcoming offering.
