Samsung is slated to announce its S series flagships for this year at its Unpacked event on January 14. With the date fast approaching, the company has begun posting trailers. Today, another official trailer for the event teases a few new features of the upcoming flagships and provides a glimpse of the design, corroborating earlier reports and images from leaked renders from the past few weeks.
The video showcases a silhouette of the side that houses a camera bump that blends with the frame of the device. The reel also provides a brief view of the internals that shows off what looks to be the periscope camera setup. The video also teases some video recording features, including the ability to simultaneously record video from multiple lenses – be it the rear or the front – along with the option to switch between video feeds.
Details of the S21 family of devices have leaked extensively, including possible pricing information for the European region. The top-tier Galaxy S21 Ultra is said to support the S Pen – something that was hinted at by the firm itself –, one of the first S series devices to do so. However, the stylus is expected to be sold as an optional accessory. As for the Galaxy S21 and S21+, those phones are rumored to be largely similar – with differences being limited to the screen size and battery capacity.
The devices are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 888 or the Exynos 2100, with the latter set to be announced tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what the company offers in its S series flagships and if there are any surprises.
