Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note7, its stylus-toting flagship, earlier this month, featuring all sorts of top-notch specs. But an even higher-end version of the device is coming very soon.
The Note7 that Samsung revealed two weeks ago has 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM. But on August 26, it will launch a new variant with 128GB of storage, and a whopping 6GB of RAM. This version of the Note7 will reportedly use Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 820 SoC, rather than the Exynos 8890 Octa chip used in most markets.
What"s not yet clear is how much this new variant will cost; the "standard" model costs around $850 in the United States. Buyers in the US and other parts of the world may not have to worry about that though; it appears likely that the 128GB/6GB model will only be sold in China.
In other markets, the Galaxy Note7"s key specs include:
- 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD (2560x1440px) resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and dual curved edges
