Samsung updates the Gear S3, ending the S Voice nightmare that has plagued some users

After months of complaints from users across the web, Samsung has now finally updated the software for its Gear S3 frontier that will allow users to start using S Voice once again. The problem didn"t affect all users, but after an update in May, there were numerous reports that S Voice couldn"t be used without it crashing.

Now, a Gear S3 frontier user has chimed in, showing off the latest update and how it has fixed the problem. The update is listed as R760XXU2BQG4/R760XA2BQG4 and comes in at 14.17MB. Sadly, Samsung did not really comment on the problem, but it looks as though they were listening all along. According to SamMobile, the update has not arrived in the UK just yet, meaning that it could be a staged rollout, hopefully arriving for most in the coming weeks.

For those that are interested, you can purchase the standard and LTE variants of the wearable at your local retailer and wireless carriers. If you"re looking for something a bit more special, you can opt for the recently released Gear S3 frontier TUMI Special Edition for $449.99.
