Samsung's 4K AMOLED Galaxy Chromebook is now available for purchase

Earlier this year at CES, back when in-person tech events were a thing, Samsung announced a premium Chrome OS convertible called the Galaxy Chromebook. Today, it"s available for purchase from Best Buy and Samsung.com for $999.99.

The Galaxy Chromebook features a 4K Super AMOLED display, and Samsung says that it"s the first AMOLED display to ever be used on a Chromebook. That means you"ll get more vibrant colors and true blacks. It also comes in a convertible form factor with a built-in S Pen, so you can draw, take notes, and so on.

On the inside, there"s a Core i5-10210U processor, which is from Intel"s 10th-generation "Comet Lake" family. You can even have it configured with up to 16GB LPDDR3 RAM and up to a 1TB SSD.

As you can see from the image above, it comes in a metallic Fiesta Red color, or you can get it in Mercury Gray. The aluminum convertible comes in at 9.9mm thin and weighs in at just over a kilogram.

You can find it on Best Buy here, and on Samsung.com here.
