Samsung is reportedly working on a more affordable version of the Galaxy S20, dubbed the S20 FE (or Fan Edition). Earlier leaks suggest that the phone could be launched in October and might feature high-end specs such as a Snapdragon 865 processor, a 120Hz high refresh rate screen, and more, all for a $750 price tag.
Now, a promotional page for YouTube Premium on Samsung’s Bulgaria website (spotted by Android Central) confirms the existence of a Galaxy S20 FE. The verbiage for the terms lists the devices that the promotion is available for and includes two unreleased versions of the Galaxy S20 series – the S20 FE and the S20 FE 5G.
The separate listing for 5G is an interesting addition since this could mean that the firm may choose to offer a variant without 5G, likely in emerging markets. It is also not clear if the non-5G variant would house a different processor, such as the company’s Exynos 990 which is present on the regular S20 models.
Other leaks suggest that the phone might come with a 4500mAh battery. Renowned leaker Evan Blass also posted an image on Twitter of the six colors that the device might be offered in. The images also show off the tripe-camera setup at the back that resembles the Galaxy Note20. The primary and wide-angle units will reportedly house 12MP units, with the telephoto lens housing an 8MP sensor. Overall, the rumors and leaks point towards the device housing impressive specs for the reported price tag of $750.
