Samsung has announced the availability of the Galaxy A71 5G, the first smartphone in the Galaxy A series to include 5G support. The phone was originally announced a couple of months ago, but had no release date. Now we know it"s coming on June 19, this coming Friday.
The Samsung Galaxy A71 5G is an upper-mid-range smartphone, powered by Qualcomm"s Snapdragon 765 5G chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card. The battery is a "long-lasting" 4,500mAh unit, and it supports 25W fast charging.
The display is 6.7 inches diagonally, with a 2400x1080 resolution and a Super AMOLED panel. it has a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera, which is 32MP. Ont he back, there are four cameras, headlined by a 64MP main camera. There"s also a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP macro camera, and a 5MP depth sensor.
The Galaxy A71 5G will be available on June 19, but only through T-Mobile and Sprint starting at $599.99. You"ll be able to buy it through Samsung"s website, but only on those two carriers. An unlocked variant will arrive later in the summer, along with AT&T and Verizon versions of it.
