A few weeks ago, a report claimed that Samsung"s next-generation Galaxy Note handset would arrive a bit earlier than expected this year, hinting at a launch in July. But it looks like that may have been a bit wide of the mark, as Evan Blass (better known as @evleaks) says that the device will launch in mid-August.
If that"s accurate, the Galaxy Note 6 will arrive almost exactly one year after its predecessor, which was unveiled on August 13, 2015, and went on sale in the United States just over a week later.
The Galaxy Note 6 is rumored to feature IP68 certification, being water and dustproof, along with a 4000mAh battery, iris scanner and USB Type-C port, although it"s worth reiterating that none of these details have been officially confirmed.
It"s also believed that the Note 6 will be the first device to feature Samsung"s new "Focus" software, which is said to offer BlackBerry Hub-style functionality, providing a central, unified location to manage emails, SMS, phone calls, social media notifications, calendar updates, and more.
