Samsung's Galaxy Note8 might arrive with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 836 processor

Galaxy Note7

With the Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung was able to get back into the good graces of consumers by showing off a handset with a sleek design and top-tier specifications. Most importantly, the firm was able to establish that it is producing safe products that are ready for the market. Although the initial hurdle has been crossed, Samsung will still have to produce a Galaxy Note device that will also exceed the expectations of consumers when it comes to specifications and safety.

Despite the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 being the cream of the crop at the moment, there are rumors that Samsung"s Galaxy Note8 will be one of the first handsets with a slightly updated chipset. The article states that Samsung will be utilizing a Snapdragon 836 processor. The new processor isn"t a huge leap compared to the Snapdragon 835 and will offer a CPU clock speed of 2.5GHz and a GPU clock speed of 740MHz. Qualcomm has yet to announce or make mention of the aforementioned processor.

While the Galaxy Note8 has been confirmed by Samsung, there still isn"t a timetable as to when the handset will be announced or when it will arrive to retail shelves. If the firm decides to keep the same time frame as last year"s Galaxy Note7, it is possible to see the successor arrive sometime in the summer.
