Samsung rolled out the Galaxy Watch Golf Edition in South Korea today with the native Smart Caddie app, which will supposedly delight the golfers out there. The app, jointly developed by Samsung and Golfzon Deca, features shot tracking and record keeping.
It should be pointed out that the new variant of the Galaxy Watch does not differ much from the original version announced earlier last month in terms of specs, save for the software features. That means the Golf Edition is still available in the 46mm and 42mm Super AMOLED display configurations. The 46mm model packs a 472mAh battery while the 42mm variant has a 270mAh battery. Both models are powered by the Exynos 9110 dual core clocked at 1.15GHz and run the Tizen OS version 4.0.
The Galaxy Watch Golf Edition can be purchased in South Korea from today, with the 46mm and 42mm models setting you back 409,700 won (~$367) and 389,900 won (~$351), respectively. It"s not immediately clear when and if Samsung plans to release this variant globally.
