As we approach the beginning of the new year, it appears that plans to unveil Samsung"s next Galaxy S handset might be delayed until April, where the device could be shown off at a special event in New York.
For the past few years, Samsung has unveiled its Galaxy S handsets at Mobile World Congress (MWC). While this is undoubtedly one of the largest stages where a mobile device can make its debut, for Samsung, the time frame might be a bit too early. Although plans have not been finalized, the firm might forgo debuting their new handset at MWC and instead hold its own event in New York. Samsung has every right to be cautious, as the world will be keeping a close eye on this next release, where even a small mishap could attract heavy scrutiny.
Although we have yet to see a leak of the new device, there are countless rumors that have cropped up over the past month that suggest the "S8" could arrive in two different curved display models that would offer a bezel-less design removing its iconic home button, and also eliminate the standard 3.5mm headphone jack.
