Samsung announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event today. It will once again be held in San Francisco like its spring event was last year, and it will be on February 11.
The most obvious product that the Korean firm will announce is its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S11, which actually might end up being called the Galaxy S20. The new handset is expected to arrive with a wide array of new camera features, such as 8K video recording, a 108-megapixel main sensor, and more. Naturally, it will launch with Qualcomm"s new Snapdragon 865 chipset, at least in some regions, as Samsung typically used its in-house Exynos chips in international markets.
Another thing expected to make its debut at the event is the next iteration of the Galaxy Fold. The first iteration of the device was originally announced at the same event last year, and while it launched later than expected due to some issues with the original design, it might already be time for a refresh.
There could be some other news, which is frankly anyone"s guess. It just wouldn"t be a Galaxy Unpacked event if we didn"t speculate that Samsung might finally announced when its Galaxy Home smart speaker will be available. It was announced at the summer 2018 Unpacked event, and has been delayed ever since.
