Almost a month ago, Samsung unveiled the Notebook 9 Pro, its latest premium Windows laptop. Coming in 13.3- and 15-inch flavors, pre-orders kicked off two weeks ago, and the devices are now available.
Either sizes will ship with an Intel Core i7-7500U processor, which is clocked at 2.7GHz. The 15-inch variant sees extra power from the GPU though, packing an AMD Radeon 540 with 2GB GDDR5 memory, while the 13.3-inch model uses Intel HD Graphics 620. The larger PC also packs double the RAM of the smaller one, with 16GB.
The Notebook 9 Pro has a 360-degree hinge, which means that you can fold the 1080p display all the way back into a tablet mode, and it also comes with S Pen support. The Pen itself is Wacom"s battery-free technology, which will be a benefit to anyone that rarely uses a pen. The S Pen is also stored inside of the device, so you won"t be as likely to lose it as with some competitors.
Unlike Microsoft"s Surface Pro lineup, the "Pro" in the name doesn"t reflect the version of Windows 10 that it runs. Instead, the Notebook 9 Pro comes with Windows 10 Home, meaning that you"ll need to shell out an additional $99 for Windows 10"s Pro features.
You can grab the 13.3-inch Notebook 9 Pro from Best Buy here, and you can order the 15-inch variant here.
