Sci-fi RTS game Tryst announced

The sci-fi RTS genre will be getting a new entry sometime in the near future. BlueGiant Interactive, the India-based developer which released another RTS game, Apox, in January 2011, has announced plans to offer yet another real-time strategy game, Tryst.

Described in the company"s press release as an "competitive RTS". Tryst is set in the year 2381, where humans are fighting a mechanical alien race called the Zali. One of the features that is being hyped about the game are its environmental threats. BlueGiant says, "Maps are filled with dangers that can both hinder a player or help him set up the perfect ambush against an enemy."

The game will feature up to eight players in online multiplayer matches. If one or more of those players decides to leave in the middle of the match, the game will replace that player with AI-driven units.

In a blog post, BlueGiant designer Tejas Oza says:

Tryst is the outcome of our collective want to return to the RTS genre and reinvent ourselves after our first game; we’re looking at a giant step forward here, folks! This basically means that we’re aiming to make Tryst feel fast paced, offer a lot of choice and have enough to offer a broad spectrum of play-styles a variety of meaningful choices.

No release date for Tryst has been revealed.
