Announced last year at FES 2018, SEGA"s retro console, the Mega Drive Mini/Genesis Mini, has been delayed yet again. After pushing forward the release to 2019 in September last year, a new launch date was set for the console a couple of months ago in March. Fortunately - or unfortunately, depending on where you live - the latest delay will only apply to the European and Middle Eastern regions.
The new launch date for European and Middle Eastern buyers has been set for October 4, 2019. According to SEGA, the reason behind this selective delay happens to be "unavoidable logistical challenges" in Europe and the Middle East.
For people residing in all other parts of the world, the Mega Drive Mini will debut on September 19, 2019, as scheduled. Priced at $79.99, the miniature version of the iconic Mega Drive will come with pre-loaded with 40 classic games and two bonus titles. Pre-orders are open and can be made at through the console"s official website.
