Gamers who have been waiting to play the third installment of the Serious Sam first person shooter series will have to wait just a little bit longer. While developer Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital had previously announced that Serious Sam 3: BFE would be released on October 18, a post by Croteam"s Alen Ladavac on the SeriousZone.com message board has confirmed that the game"s release will now be pushed back to sometime in mid-November.
The post by Ladavac states, "In the past few days, we did some reassessments, based both on internal results, and on beta testing feedback, and determined that we would want to do some more gameplay tuning, bugfixing and optimization - more than would be possible within the given timeframe. This is the game that we have invested a lot of love and work into, and one that we know the series" fans are expecting a lot from."
Meanwhile, Serious Sam fans can still get their fix by checking out three games that are set in the Serious Sam universe. You can start by purchasing Serious Sam: Double D, the recently released PC 2D action game from developer Mommy"s Best Games, for just $7.99. Also available to download right now for iOS and Android devices is Serious Sam: Kamikaze Attack, a 2D side-scroller game from developer Be-Rad Entertainment that"s priced at just 99 cents. Coming sometime in October is Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, a $4.99 PC game from developer Vlambeer that turns the Serious Sam franchise into a turn-based retro style RPG.
