Gigabyte has filed for certification of several new graphics cards at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). These appear to be variants of Nvidia"s upcoming 12GB RTX 3080 Ti. A total of twelve names have been filed that include models from the company"s AORUS, GAMING, EAGLE, and VISION brands. There are four AORUS models, two GAMING models, two EAGLE models, and two VISION models. Aside from these, there are a couple of TURBO models too, which is Gigabyte"s brand for blower cards. There is also the presence of a CMP 30HX in the mix. While not all the twelve models found here may make it to the retail, at least some of them definitely should.
The final core specifications of the RTX 3080 Ti are still unconfirmed since Nvidia seemingly had several different versions of it. The 12GB RTX 3080 Ti that has been spotted today is allegedly not the same chip which had leaked earlier. According to a report from Videocardz, Nvidia has moved to a new chip and a new device ID "GA102-225" for this revised 12GB RTX 3080 Ti. Previously, the firm was using the "GA102-250" ID to represent possible RTX 3080 Ti variants, but the company is apparently repurposing the 20GB variant of that to the RTX 3090.
The new 12GB RTX 3080 Ti reportedly features 10,240 CUDA cores, which is more than what the previously rumored 12GB model had but less than the 20GB version. The previous 12GB 3080 Ti is said to have packed 9,984 CUDA cores while the 20GB version would have matched the RTX 3090"s core count with 10,496.
