Shadow Warrior 3 launch pushed back to 2022, drops a fitting delay trailer

Last year, a third entry to the humorous action game series Shadow Warrior was unveiled by publisher Devolver Digital and developer Flying Wild Hog. While Lo Wang"s return was slated to happen sometime this year, now the release date has been pushed back to 2022. Weirdly enough, to mark the occasion, Devolver Digital released a very special delay trailer today, check it out above.

A new release window has not been attached to the game just yet, but according to the publisher more specifics on the release date will be coming soon.

"Shadow Warrior 3 is, like, 99% awesome, but it"s gonna be at least 120% awesome with a little more polish, so we decided to give it the extra bit of love that it deserves," the development team added regarding the delay.

Alongside Lo Wang, Orochi Zilla is also returning for the latest adventure in "Neo-Feudal Japan" involving an accidentally released dragon and plenty of more demons to obliterate. A grappling hook is also joining in on the action this time, enhancing our protagonist"s highly agile move set even further.

Shadow Warrior 3 is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Depending on the length of the delay, we might see a current-gen console version launch being announced as well.
