Shadowgun update brings retina support to the iPad

Popular third person shooter Shadowgun has been updated to version 1.1.3 on iOS devices and with it comes support for Apple’s latest iPad and various bug fixes.

For those of you who have the new 3rd generation iPad you will finally get native 2048x1536 resolution along with 4x MSAA anti-aliasing. The update also features a number of simple bug fixes including:

  • Fixed bug in reloading
  • Fixed bugs in roll
  • Fixed invisible/untouchable icons on some lifts (Level 7 and 8)

It will be interesting to see how this version compares to the recent Shadowgun update that came out for Android based Tegra 3 devices, especially with Apple’s comments stating that their built-in GPU can out-perform NVidia’s quad core mobile GPU/CPU.

If you own Shadowgun and the new iPad, let us know what you think of the latest update. If you don’t have the game yet, you can purchase it directly from your iPad/iPhone or via the iTunes App Store.
