Shuttle, whose high-price high-end small form factor (SFF) PCs have been hit by fierce pricing in the PC market, will roll out more entry-level and mid-range systems in hopes of turning its business around in 2007, according to the company. The company said it will reduce output from its optical disc drive (ODD) and monitor segments, expand its product ranges in the entry-level and mid-range mini PCs, and continue to strengthen the over-clocking performance of its high-end systems.
Ahead of the imminent Vista launch, top-tier PC vendors have been aggressively cutting prices in order to clear inventories of their non-Vista-compliant systems, Shuttle said. The fierce pricing has hit second-tier players, the company added.
