Sky has taken the wraps off its Mobile TV app for iPhone today.
Available to UK subscribers, the iPhone application itself is free but a £6 per month subscription is required to stream content. The Sky Mobile TV app allows you to watch Sky Sports 1,2 and 3 as well as Sky Sports News, Sky Sports Extra, Sky News, At The Races and ESPN. Customers on the O2 network in the UK can benefit from a 3 month free offer in combination with Sky. O2 has the full details but it"s limited to the first 150,000 customers.
"In less than a year we"ve already seen millions of downloads of Sky"s various iPhone apps," said David Gibbs, the general manager for mobile at Sky. "Now, by launching our new Sky Mobile TV app, we are able to combine the demand for great live TV on the move with the quality of experience offered through the iPhone and iTouch."
