If you currently use Skype on Windows Phone 7, you will know that it has a lot to be desired. We all knew that Skype would see improved support with Windows Phone 8 and now we are getting a better look at what all that will entail.
Skype will act, and all VOIP apps for that matter, like the native phone application and it will work on top of the lock screen as well. Of course, Skype will work in the background too which should appease those of us who like to use Skype and other applications at the same time.
Windows Phone 8 will be landing this holiday season and will bring a host of new features that you can read about here. Microsoft also made it clear that all of the Windows Phone 8 features have not been announced and we will make sure to keep you informed as Microsoft shines an even brighter light on Windows Phone 8.
