Microsoft recently updated Skype with a redesigned user interface and added a bunch of new features to it. Skype Insiders usually get to test new features before they are released in the stable version. Today, Insiders have received another update for Android phones, adding more functionalities to the app.
The update brings new sharing capabilities to Skype by integrating the app into the share system of the Android OS. Users can now share things like links and pictures to Skype from other apps. Moreover, the update also adds a new feature to Skype which allows users to delete their contacts from their profile.
In addition to that, there are various performance and in-call photo rendering improvements. The full changelog is as follows:
- General performance improvements
- Share photos and links to Skype from other apps
- Delete contacts – this ability to add or remove contacts from their profile.
- Improved in-call photo rendering
This update is currently available to Skype Insiders only. People enrolled in the Skype Insider Program can download the updated version from the Play Store link given below.
