When Slack introduced a makeover to its logo last month, the company also promised to roll out some other visual changes to the communication app in the future. Today, the team behind the collaboration tool announced a new update to Slack for iOS and Android that entirely drops the purple color around its logo for a plain white background.
Slack unveiled the latest change in a tweet as part of an effort to make the app "easier to see on your device." However, the updated logo was met with mixed reactions from users:

Explaining the new visual change to one of its Twitter followers, Slack says the latest update aims to "address potential visibility and accessibility needs" of users. In addition to mobile platforms, Slack"s desktop version is also set to receive the new logo in the near future.
The latest version of Slack is available to download now from Google Play Store and Apple App Store along with a few bug fixes. Keep in mind, though, that the update is rolling out in phases, so it may not be immediately available on your device.
