Snap Inc. suffered quite a loss with its first hardware product, Spectacles. Undeterred, the company has now revealed and made available its second generation of the product available for purchase.
Spectacles are a little bit pricier than its predecessor, but offer a lot of improvements as well. The glasses come in more traditional colors, remove the bright yellow around the recording light, and will now have the option of two different color lenses. Those that are looking for a prescription version will be happy to know that now that is a possibility and will be offered through Lensabl for an additional $125.
The frames are now lighter, the charging case is slimmer, and the glasses are water resistant. The unit will be able to take around 70 videos with one charge and the case will be able to recharge the device four times. Most importantly, you can now take images with the new model and uploads that content to your phone will be much faster.
If interested in the new Spectacles, you can purchase them online and they will ship to those in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and France. The device will be available in more locations on May 3.
