Rudy Huyn has launched 6snap, a third-party client for the popular photo sharing messenger, Snapchat, on the Windows Phone store adding to his ever increasing list of high-quality unofficial apps.
Windows Phone has been lacking some popular apps and Rudy Huyn has been making sure to bring the best ones to the platform by developing quality third-party versions. 6snap is the latest of such apps developed by the Microsoft MVP following 6tag for Instagram and 6sec for Vine.
6snap is available to download on the Windows Phone store and has all the features from the official iOS and Android versions. Users are required to be running Windows Phone 8 (or higher) in order to use the app and there is no word on support for version 7.x as of now.
The app allows sharing of pictures and videos with Snapchat users, post snaps with s story, explore stories, edit pictures, add friends, manage privacy and use custom ringtones. In addition to these, Rudy has included some features exclusive to Windows Phone users such as Lense support, sharing via picture hub and live tile support. It is also mentioned that more features will be added in future versions which has been typical of the developer as he has introduced more features in 6tag than the official Instagram app.
Users who have been waiting for Snapchat to become available on their Windows Phone devices can get 6snap from the Windows Phone store right now.
