HTC has been keeping itself busy by recently releasing a number of mid-range devices, all launching with Android 6.0 Marshmallow onboard. This has left many of the company’s users questioning when HTC would finally start its Android 7.0 Nougat rollout. Now finally, the Nougat update is starting to reach devices, but only the unlocked models of the HTC 10.
HTC’s VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, gave some of the company’s users a new reason to be thankful for, as he announced that the Nougat upgrade would show up today. Unfortunately, you’ll need to the owner of an unlocked HTC 10 device to get to a taste of Google’s newest public operating system.
Happy Thanksgiving! HTC 10 unlocked owners will receive Nougat OS update tomorrow morning! Enjoy!

HTC disappointed many of its fans earlier this year when it reneged on its promise to update the One A9 within 15 days of Nexus devices receiving a new version of Android. To make matters worse it now looks like A9 users will actually have to wait until next year for an update to their devices, just as Google is preparing to launch Android 7.1 Nougat.
Still, for those of you sporting an unlocked HTC 10 this is good news, and hopefully this means that that update will soon be available for other devices as well.
If you’re getting Android 7.0 Nougat on your HTC device today let us know how it goes in the comments below.
