After over a year of anticipation, Microsoft launched its Chromium-based Edge browser today. But while you can go out and download it right now, some users are already reporting issues. The issue is, strangely enough, that the installer is in the wrong language.
The good news is that Microsoft is aware of the issue, so it should be fixed pretty soon. Presumably, this isn"t a hard computer science problem to solve, and it"s just a minor bug.
We"ve seen some reports about the browser being installed in a language other than the expected language. Our team is aware and working diligently to resolve. Please keep an eye out here for any updates!

One of our own moderators, Brandon H, noticed the problem right away. He found that the package actually downloads from a link that sets the language to "es", meaning Spanish. What you can do, if you really want the stable version of Edge right now, is change "es" to "en", which is the code for English. Or you can do the more sensible thing, which is just waiting for Microsoft to fix the bug, or wait for it to roll out to your system.
If you want to download it in English for Windows, you can find it here.
