Although Sony"s conference was filled with TV announcements, interesting 3D demonstration and the unveiling of 3D cameras, Sony Ericsson"s latest smartphone offering really stole the show.
The Xperia Arc is a serious step-up in Sony Ericsson"s phone arsenal, with the company taking a hard line on integrating quality tech and packaging it in an attractive wrapper.
The phone features Sony"s Bravia TV technology and has been adapted to the phone form factor. This "Reality Display" is purported to be the best and brightest display on the market, and it measures 4.2 inches.
Also featured, an 8 megapixel Exmor R camera sensor with 2.46x zoom, geo-tagging and face recognition. This coupled with image stabilization and a bright flash results in best in class low light performance. The phone also includes HDMI out for photo and video output.
Storage is unfortunately limited to 512mb and an included 8GB MicroSD card, but supports up to 32GB of expansion.
