Talking exclusively to Eurogamer, SCEE boss David Reeves has insisted that Sony are not ready to drop the price of the dwindling PS3.
Despite the deepening recession, Sony is insistent that the Playstation 3 will remain the most expensive system on the market and that this is all part of the consoles ten year life cycle.
Third quarter figures released on Thursday showed PS3 sales were down on the previous year, with 4.46 million units sold. Despite a sales decrease of 44,000 units compared to 2007, Reeves shrugged off suggestions that sales had peaked.
Analysts are forecasting a reduction in April, with as much as $100 being slashed from the price tag. With the release of
