Sony is reportedly preparing to launch yet another large smartphone in the Z5 series by early next year.
It has been just a few days since Sony launched three new flagship smartphones in the form of the Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and the Z5 Premium. The Japanese electronics giant has been struggling to gain significant marketshare in the smartphone space but that hasn"t stopped the company from releasing high-end devices regularly.
Now, a latest leak from a Chinese source has indicated that Sony might be planning to launch a larger Xperia Z5 variant with the Ultra moniker. Although details are scarce at this point, the upcoming smartphone will reportedly feature a massive 6.44-inch 4K screen, Snapdragon 820 processor, 23 megapixel camera module and a larger 4000 mAh battery. It was assumed that Sony dropped the "Ultra" name for "Premium" during the recent launch event, but it might not be the case if the leaked information is to be believed.
If the Z5 Ultra does exist and Sony goes ahead with its plans to launch it, we might see the device around March of next year.
