If you were looking to purchase a brand new PlayStation 4 Slim, you might want to hold off until the end of the month, when Sony releases a new color variant. The so-called Glacier White PS4 will be available before February if you live in Japan or the EU.
The Glacier White PS4 Slim is a blindingly white version of the slimmer, smaller version of the console from Sony. The new variant will also come with a similarly themed Dualshock 4 controller, but there doesn’t seem to be any other differences in tow. The device will launch with a 500 GB HDD though there’s also a 1TB version.
The new Glacier White variant will be available in Japan on January 24th for 29,980 yen (500GB) and 34,980 yen (1TB). The 500GB variant will then see wider release on January 25th when it becomes available in Europe for €299.
There’s no word on when the new color will show up in the US, though we doubt it will be too long before this PS4 becomes available as part of exclusive bundles or offers.
