Sony will be launching its latest flagship smartphone in the United States on Verizon on August 13th.
Recently, the Xperia Z4 was launched by Sony in Japan which was later globally rolled out as the Xperia Z3+. However, for the United States the company has yet another smartphone planned which features a better display and higher battery capacity with the Xperia Z4v moniker.
Verizon will be the exclusive carrier for the Z4v, while other carriers will be getting the Xperia Z3+ some time later. Now, the company has set up a microsite to keep interested customers updated about the device"s launch.
The Android Lollipop-powered Xperia Z4v features similar hardware specifications as most current flagship smartphones from competitors, such as a 5.2-inch quad HD screen, Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage with microSD memory card support, IP65/IP68 dust and water certification, 20-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras and a 3000 mAh battery.
It has been revealed that the smartphone will come in black and white color options similar to most Verizon branded devices. There is no pricing and availability information provided, which will only be revealed during the official launch on August 13th.
