Unlike Microsoft"s new E3 time slot, Sony is sticking to its regular E3 routine with its upcoming presentation time slot and location being the same as last year. Confirmed via invites sent to the press, the Sony briefing will be held on Monday, June 12 at 6pm PT, at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
Last year, Sony showed off a host of new PlayStation 4 exclusive games at its briefing, with highlights including a new God of War, a Spider-Man game developed by Insomniac Games, as well as new IPs such as Days Gone and Detroit: Become Human. There is a very good possibility that the latter two titles will receive more screen time, and maybe even official release dates during this year"s Sony presentation.
With Microsoft ready to unveil the upcoming Project Scorpio console at its E3 presentation, Sony could have something up its sleeve as an answer to it. However, the likelihood of this occurring is slim, and it"s more probable that Sony will instead focus on its upcoming games lineup, and titles involving PlayStation VR.
Call of Duty: WWII"s single-player reveal is also slated for E3 this year, and since Sony is backing the series, it"s likely to take place during its briefing.
