Fans of the popular Games Workshop board game Space Hulk will be happy to know that this Warhammer 40,000-based game is heading to a hard drive sometime in 2013. The company announced today that the turn-based strategy game will be released for the PC, Mac and iOS platforms.
Developed by Full Control, the game will let players control a squad of well armed and heavily armored Space Marines. The press release states:
Space Hulk is set in the isolated corridors and tomb-like chambers of an ancient vessel lost in the graveyard of space. Players lead a small army of fearless Space Marine Terminators to battle in a ferocious fight for survival against hordes of predatory alien Genestealers.
In addition to a single player campaign, Space Hulk will also feature co-op support as well as head-to-head multiplayer similar to the board game. It will even come with a level editor for people to make their own Space Hulk maps. Look for cross-platform multiplayer support as well as plans to offer DLC expansion packs.
While Space Hulk is set in the Warhammer 40K universe, THQ still has the rights to make games based on the main Warhammer 40K franchise.
