Specifications for the Honor 8X Max leak; features a 7.12-inch display with a teardrop notch

It has been a little while since we last heard from Honor, but it looks like the brand is preparing a new release, dubbed the Honor 8X Max.

As you can notice from the image, the Honor 8X Max will have a cutout on the display, although it won"t be as large as we have seen on some devices in the past. The handset will have an incredibly large 7.12-inch screen that will be nearly bezel-less but still sport a small chin towards the bottom. The translated listing doesn"t seem to offer details about the phone"s processor but it will make use of 4GB of RAM and will have 64GB of internal storage with expansion via microSD.

The smartphone should offer a dual speaker setup with support for Dolby Atmos, along with a fingerprint reader that will be housed on the rear. The rear will also offer a dual camera setup with an LED flash. Unfortunately, it looks like the phone will be charging through a Micro USB port but as a bit of a silver lining will offer fast charging capabilities.

The phone is listed on the JD website with a starting price of ¥9,998, which is roughly around $1,465 USD. The price seems unusually high for an Honor phone and while it could be accurate, is most likely just a placeholder. Luckily, we won"t have to wait long to find out all of the details, as the Honor 8X Max will launch in China on September 5.
