Spotify and Hulu $12.99 bundle available for U.S. Premium customers

Spotify and Hulu have teamed up to offer Spotify Premium and Hulu"s Limited Commercials plan for just $12.99 per month. Usually, Spotify is $9.99 and Hulu’s Limited Commercials plan costs $7.99 – that means those of you who take advantage of the offer will save $7.99 per month.

Commenting on the development, Alex Norstrom, Chief Premium Business Officer at Spotify, said:

“Our student launch with Hulu was incredibly well received and we are excited to extend our reach by bringing Hulu to more of our Premium members in the US. Hulu’s TV content is highly acclaimed, and with this exclusive Spotify offer we are bundling two top media platforms for an unbeatable price. This is just one example of how we can add value to our premium members day after day.”

The new plan will be opened up in the summer to Spotify users who don’t currently have a Spotify Premium account, in the meantime, Premium customers can take advantage of a deal that grants an initial three-month Hulu subscription for just 99 cents before the pricing changes to $12.99 for both services combined – to be clear that’s $9.99 for the Spotify subscription and $0.99 for the Hulu subscription for the first three months then the combined bill will rise to $12.99.

The move will help Spotify and Hulu to better compete with the likes of Amazon, Apple, and Google who all have a music streaming services as well as a video rental/streaming services that their subscribers can leverage. The firm started publicly trading recently so it"ll be hoping that this deal bolsters its standing.
