Courier services are beginning to thrive within the U.S. The increasing number of smartphone owners has lead to companies like Postmates and Caviar to offer convenient courier services for those who might need them. If these kinds of conveniences sound enticing to you, then Sprint customers will want to take notice of its similar service that"s about to kick-off.
After a trial launch in the company"s hometown of Kansas City, Sprint is ready to begin rolling out its hand-delivery service in new U.S. markets. The service will expand to Miami and Chicago, with plans to service most of the United States in the future. Customers will be able to order new handsets like the Lumia 635 or the new Samsung Galaxy S6 devices and have them delivered by a Sprint representative wherever they are within supported markets.
In an interview held with The Wall Street Journal, CEO Marcelo Claure spoke of how the idea came to him while he was running several cell phone stores back in the 1990s. The delivery service would not only offer guaranteed delivery of handsets wherever a customer was within the market, but gave customers a chance to work with an expert one-on-one in getting their new device setup.
With T-Mobile closing in on the 3rd largest service provider spot in the U.S. currently held by Sprint, it appears Claure and company are leaning on above-and-beyond customer service tactics to encourage brand loyalty.
