Sprint's Galaxy S20 users will soon have access to T-Mobile's network

If you"ve got a Samsung Galaxy S20 5G on Sprint, you"re in for some good news. Soon, you"ll be able to access T-Mobile"s nationwide 600MHz 5G network.

Ever since T-Mobile completed its acquisition of Sprint on April 1, it"s been working hard at combining the two networks. In fact, later on that day, it said that it was lighting up Sprint"s sub6 5G for T-Mobile customers in Philadelphia. The Un-carrier confirmed today that New York City is going to get the same treatment soon.

If you don"t have a Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, or a 5G phone at all, you"re still going to get some perks. Sprint customers with compatible 4G LTE smartphones can roam on T-Mobile"s network, a compatible device presumably being one that supports T-Mobile"s LTE bands. The company said that this will give you access to twice as many LTE sites, but moreover, it can be a real help in areas where Sprint"s service isn"t as strong as T-Mobile"s.

Finally, the company also noted that it"s continuing to expand its 600MHz nationwide 5G network. Detroit, St. Louis, and Columbus, Ohio are all getting the 5G treatment.
