...so I thought "Yeah, it"s 3 AM, I"ll call the night here" and just when I was about to go bed, I found out that Squirrel Mail 1.50 has been released. Looks like the night isn"t going to end easy after all ;) The Changelog page on their website hasn"t been updated yet but the development team did left us a little love-note saying
"The Development Team has released version 1.5.0. Included in this release is the integration of the DMN plugin, some interface tweaks, and many bugfixes. Enjoy."
SquirrelMail is a standards-based webmail package written in PHP4. It includes built-in pure PHP support for the IMAP and SMTP protocols, and all pages render in pure HTML 4.0 (with no JavaScript required) for maximum compatibility across browsers. It has very few requirements and is very easy to configure and install. SquirrelMail has all the functionality you would want from an email client, including strong MIME support, address books, and folder manipulation.
Please note that the stable version (according to their download page) remained 1.4.2 for the time being.
