Stadia on the Web now supports the Stadia Controller wirelessly

Google has published another one of its community blog posts going over what"s new on the Stadia streaming service this week, including new deals, free games, and one significant new feature. That"s the ability to use the official Stadia Controller wirelessly when playing Stadia on the Web.

The Stadia Controller was bundled with the Founders and Premiere editions of Stadia, and even though it"s not a typical Bluetooth controller, it didn"t actually work with the web version of the service. In order to use it with your PC, you"d need to connect it via USB, which isn"t as convenient. The controller is meant to connect via Wi-Fi to the game servers directly, rather than connecting to your specific device via Bluetooth, promising lower latency input. Now, that feature will work on the web, in addition to the Chromecast Ultra, but it seems like it still can"t be used wirelessly with Android phones.

Aside from that new feature, Google is reminding Stadia Pro members that there are new free games that can be claimed this month. The Turing Test, Zombie Army 4: Dead War, and Steamworld Heist are the new additions for May, as announced in last week"s Stadia Connect.

Finally, there are new deals for both Stadia Pro members and regular Stadia users. Stadia Pro members can get 25% off DOOM Eternal, making the Standard edition $44.99 and the Deluxe edition $67.49; 50% off GRID Ultimate Upgrade, making it $12.50; 33% off Lost Words: Beyond the Page, which makes it $10.04, 67% off Assassin"s Creed Odyssey, making the Standard edition $19.80 and the Ultimate edition $39.60, plus 50% off the Season Pass, making it $20; and finally, 40% off Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame 3, making it $35.99. Even if you"re not using Stadia Pro, you can get 50% off both editions of Assassin"s Creed Odyssey, making the Standard edition $30, and the Ultimate edition $60.
