Star Control: Origins Original Soundtrack launches alongside the game on September 20

Stardock"s Star Control: Origins is finally releasing next week on September 20, but it won"t be alone, as the company announced today that the game"s Original Soundtrack will release alongside it.

Featuring the works of Mason Fisher (Age of Wonders, Galactic Civilizations 3), Riku Nuottajärvi (Star Control II: The Ur-Quan Masters), and more, the soundtrack will come with over 40 tracks included. In the announcement, Stardock describes what fans can expect from the soundtrack saying:

From the cheerful and upbeat theme of the slimy (but friendly) Tywom, all the way to the dark and dangerous undertones of the terrifying Scryve theme, you’ll experience an epic audio journey through the galaxy meeting aliens, exploring planets, fighting life or death battles, and much more.

Moreover, for those interested in previewing a slice, the company has also uploaded two tracks from the OST, Cold as Ice and A Higher Power, to its YouTube channel.

The Star Control: Origins Original Soundtrack will be available for purchase on Steam, iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon Music for $9.99 on September 20. Streaming services Spotify, Pandora, YouTube Music, Slacker Radio, and others will also have the soundtrack available for listening on the same date.

The game itself is available for pre-order right now on the Stardock Store, Steam, as well as GOG for $34.99. And the latest trailer to release, showcasing the game"s massive explorable universe and its aliens, can be seen here.
