Star Control: Origins The Living Universe trailer is all about exploration

New trailers of Star Control: Origins are starting to pour out of Stardock steadily as the game"s full release is drawing nearer. The new Living Universe trailer, seen above, shows off what players will be able to do in the game while exploring its universe that spans dozens of lightyears across, populated with thousands of planets with aliens that go about their lives.

These wide varieties of aliens that players will be meeting will have different intentions, where some can be marooned travelers while others may be pirates or even more dangerous threats. As a previous trailer showcased, it will be up to the player on how they deal with these interactions, with the game letting them choose how humanity achieves its ultimate goal of saving earth from the Scryve empire.

Stardock also announced recently that it has partnered up with AMD to optimize the title for Ryzen CPUs and the FreeSync 2 technology, with Vulkan graphics API support also in the pipeline for a post-launch update.

The game is slated to launch on September 20 for Windows and it is up for pre-order right now via the Stardock Store, Steam, and GOG. Those who pre-order will also receive instant access to the Fleet Battles Beta 3 that"s running right now.

Moreover, as part of the aforementioned partnership, new AMD Radeon RX Vega, 580 and 570 graphics cards arrive with a free copy of Star Control: Origins as well as two more games, Strange Brigade and Assassin"s Creed Odyssey.
