Today, Sony revealed quite a surprising announcement for PlayStation 5 and PC during its September 2021 Showcase. There"s a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake in development. Contrary to expectations, it"s being made in partnership with Aspyr instead of the original developer BioWare.
For those unfamiliar with the original, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic takes place a long time before the events of the films.
It is four thousand years before the Galactic Empire and hundreds of Jedi Knights have fallen in battle against the ruthless Sith. You are the last hope of the Jedi Order. Can you master the awesome power of the Force on your quest to save the Republic? Or will you fall to the lure of the dark side? Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is one of the best legacy games out there and the remake is still very early in development according to the PlayStation Blog. It seems like it"s going to be a few years before we can get our hands on it.
If you haven"t played Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, it"s available as an Xbox One X Enhanced title on the Microsoft Store for $10. You can also buy it on the platform of your choice since it"s out on a number of devices including Android and iOS.
