The yearly Halloween Sale of Steam has returned once again, heralding discounts for games featuring things that go bump in the night. Though as usual, there are plenty of other non-horror (or just mildly scary) games included in the sale as well. Those browsing the Steam sale early will want to keep in mind that they may experience some slowdowns or errors until the initial traffic subsides.
The newly set up landing page has highlights from the sale split into several sections like Top Sellers, VR, and Free to Play. To mention some noteworthy discounts from the horror space, the new Resident Evil 2 remake is 50% off, with a 66% discount coming in for Vampyr. Meanwhile, Call of Cthulhu is down by 50%, Blair Witch is discounted by 25%, while Pathologic 2 can be had with a 34% discount.
Valve is also promoting many of the special Halloween events games are running currently, such as for Dying Light, Rainbow Six Siege, Hitman, and Elder Scrolls Online. Of course, many of these event-running games are discounted as well.
The Steam Halloween Sale of 2019 will be running from today till November 1, 10:30AM PST, giving those looking for deals five days to make their picks. Moreover, the dates line up with what recent leaks revealed, meaning the Autumn and Winter Sale dates that also leaked may as well be authentic.
